Alog has created the Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and security. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect information from our customers, use that information to provide Services to our customers and manage that information so as to insure our customers privacy is maintained.
The Information We Collect:
When you request a license to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines, an IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) application is prepared by our office on your behalf. (Other state permits relating to fuel and mileage taxes may also be applied for at that time.) Information required for these applications may include Social Security numbers, Federal Employment Identification numbers, and Drivers License numbers. This information is maintained in our files for the specific purpose of processing the applications for permits you have requested.
Clients utilizing A-Log,Inc.’s tax preparation services will be asked to provide confidential information necessary for accurate and complete tax reports.
The Way We Use the Information:
Alog prepares fuel and mileage tax reports each quarter for IFTA Licensees requesting our assistance. We also prepare Income Tax returns annually, Heavy Vehicle Highway Use Tax Reports (2290’s) annually and various property tax reports annually. These tax returns require the use of this information to insure correct and complete reporting. In addition, the mileage information we gather from Trip Logs you submit to our office is used annually to determine prorate registration fees. We provide mileage information reported on your IFTA quarterly reports to your Registration Service and Insurance Agent to facilitate the renewal of your commercial vehicle licenses each year only if your authorization is in our files.
